A knock on the door and a free cup of sweet tea marked the start of the day at 6.20. A good service for a £2-a-night hotel, but why so bloody early?

The morning was spent organising a safari with a taxi-driver for a fee of Z$200, and attempting to do some shopping. The latter was not very successful. It seems that Zimbabwe is having a few problems with importing quality goods at the moment. We couldn't find anywhere selling a decent hardback writing book to use as a diary and the only films we saw were the crappy Tudor 100 ASA.

In the afternoon we had a look around the Natural History Museum. Bloody crap: The most interesting things were a 15-foot-tall stuffed elephant and a drink in the cafeteria called Brown Cow, which comprised Coke and ice-cream.

In the evening we drank beer in the girls' room and met a guy called Clint from South Africa. We later went downstairs and continued drinking until we were thrown out.
