Woke up with quite a nasty hangover, despite the fact that I had drunk only 4½ bottles of beer the night before. God knows what was in the stuff.

Today our plan was to get the train to Fish Hook, on the Indian Ocean side of the peninsula. Due to our hungover state, we didn't arrive until early afternoon.

The town was very picturesque and the beach and sea were very attractive. However, there was nothing happening there. It was very reminiscent of a British retirement area on the south coast.

Fish Hook.

On the way back to town, we had a look round Muizenberg to see if it was worth staying at the youth hostel there. It wasn't.

In the evening we ate a meal in Pizza Hut. They had a deal whereby one can eat as much pizza as one wants for R13.60. After five medium pizzas between us, we felt uncomfortably bloated.

Table Mountain and Lion's Head from Three Anchor Bay.

We capped the day off with a film: JFK, directed by Oliver Stone and starring Kevin Costner. Very interesting but disturbing.
