After breakfast we walked to Clifton Beach. The weather was absolutely fantastic—hardly a cloud in the sky.

It got very hot on the beach and our tans improved greatly. After a rather smaller meal, this time, in Pizza Hut, we bumped into Kathy and Diane, who were driving a car around Sea Point. Naturally their friends in Jo'burg had lent it to them for a few weeks. Anyway, we jumped in and we all had a couple of beers in a bar up the road. We planned to do the famous Cape Town wine route the next day.
