Got up late and was immediately charged Rs.20 for the bucket I had lost in the well.

After dropping off our rucksacks at our new luxury accommodation, we headed for the beach, via a café for breakfast.

After a few hours roasting on the beach I felt hungry and thirsty after a hard day's lying around body-surfing. I had a really great Prawn Biryani, washed down with an absolutely fresh mixed-fruit shake.

We lay on the beach until 5.30, then had some tea at a café.

On returning to the guest house, we were pleased at its vast superiority over the last place. We were treated to a bed each, tiles on the floor instead of bare concrete, and access to a shower. The toilet was far more pleasant, too, though not great. It was certainly worth Rs.20, though.

After showering and reading for a while, we strolled all the way next door for a meal and a couple of beers.

Neither of us had a great night's sleep, due to very noisy animals outside and noisy Israelis next door.
